Globe Telecom is releasing the iPhone 3G in the Philippines this Friday, which means only one thing: me wants. Yes, I know gas prices are skyrocketing. Yes, I know that the “standard” cup of rice at the local eatery has shrunk.
But mewants the iPhone 3G.
Why, you say? Why lust after the iPhone 3G when my [...]

As of this writing, yesterday was August 8, 2008—a rare date which only comes once every century. (I didn’t feel the “suspense” and “thrill” of it as much as I did on June 6, 2006.) Sure, whatever.
Anyway, yesterday was Friday, but there were no classes for some reason. A few of my friends and I [...]

Today’s a slow news day. I hate slow news days, but then again I hate the sight of a blog that hasn’t been posted to in ages just as much. Thankfully, my good friend RJ Marmol shared this interesting website via Plurk that tells you all kinds of stuff about your birthday. I browsed around [...]

I am, as always, confined to the four corners of my painfully yellow room, again feeling the need to write. It could be the boredom of summer afternoons like this, or perhaps instinct — whatever it is, it’s telling me to write.
I write for many reasons — to while away the hours, to keep my [...]

The freshman politicians of Service Through Appropriate Governance (STAG) Party, one of the two major political parties in Agusan National High School (and the one to which I belong), once again won the recently-held First Year elections by a landslide, with all six of the party’s candidates grabbing the First Year Supreme Student Government seats. [...]

Hi, all. Let me bitch for a while about how freaking crazy school has been.
So, today’s the 30th of June. It’s only been a month since Junior year started, yet we’re already swamped with incomprehensible equations and ridiculous scientific terms. Like, WTF’s sin and cos and tan and tan-1? My calculator is increasingly becoming my [...]

I’ve been really swamped with school stuff lately. Physics is like the most difficult subject ever conceived, and jumping Jupiters, Mathematics ain’t a piece of cake either.
So this is third-year life. I guess I was too busy thinking about next-only-to-seniors-superiority and prom to remember the darker side of Junior Year.

I don’t know if you guys have heard of IndieBloggers. It’s a blog run by Anastacia Campbell (who also has a photoblog) where creative writers can submit their works—fictional or otherwise—and get them published, offering free visibility for you and your blog (if you have one).
I first sent a submission to IB in the last [...]

When America elects its next president come November, it will have to decide between two starkly different candidates—the seasoned John McCain, who believes in spending billions of dollars on the war in Iraq, but thinks twice about spending millions of dollars in education, or Barack Obama, who, in his charismatic speeches promises of a new [...]

Pardon the lolspeak reference. Let’s cut to the chase: the Ubuntu Linux 8.04 LTS Desktop Edition I requested from the Ubuntu web site about a month ago arrived in the mail today, earlier than I expected. The package included one live CD in a hip-looking paper jacket-ish thing, as well as some stickers which said [...]

People have always taunted me for having “You’re Beautiful” on my MP4 player. Sure, people have been denouncing James Blunt as plain weird. Maybe he is. That high-pitched voice. The weird face he makes in the aforementioned song. But I like him.
I can’t pinpoint exactly what trait in Blunt’s songs I like. Maybe it’s the [...]

I have a lot of stuff to say about, or more specifically against, blog ranking systems, generally because they have been very brutal to me. PageRank, Technorati, and the notorious Alexa ranking. Even the Digg and del.icio.us bookmark counts are dismal in number. Sure, the big boys enjoy drowning in the pit of endless high [...]
