DeanLozarie.com Redesign

Finally, with some help from Small Potato, I’ve completed my very minimalist theme and have applied it to this blog. Ever since I got hold of this hosting account, I’ve been very keen on design and have always been on the lookout for simple, clean layouts. So far, I haven’t found exactly what I was looking for, and I couldn’t afford to hire someone to create a theme for me—so I took the matter into my own hands. I call this theme “DeanLozarie.com Theme”. Simple as that.

Oh, and although the theme is named “DeanLozarie.com Theme”, I’ve renamed the blog “DeanTastic”. I’ve decided to brand a little bit, and future branding plans include buying another domain name and pointing it to this blog, but nothing’s final as of now. (I’m saving up for another domain name—want to buy me one? LOL, kidding.)

Comments on the new theme are appreciated, however harsh they may be. I’d especially appreciate it if you could tell me if there are errors popping up (with the coding). I’m also very jumpy about the commenting feature—for some reason, I think it could be a little faulty, although recently it’s looking more stable.

The spacing between sidebar items is a little long. Other then that, I don't see any problems. You might want to tweak the typography though. Good job!

Grant, thanks for the input. The spacing between the sidebar widgets is my fault, not the code's -- when I type in a widget, I always put a
on both ends of it. I'm removing one of 'em then. As for typography, I LOOOVE Georgia, but I've also been wanting to try Verdana. So, I'll see if I can spare some time to change my fonts. Thanks for the comment!

I don't know it's a design decision/intentional or an oversight but I suggest putting the posting date somewhere, be it after the subject or after the post.

Ex. Filed on June 27, 2008 under All Posts, DeanLozarie.com by Dean
