Skribit widget back up; AdBrite ads too annoying?
Hello, all. Today I decided to commit a couple of minor changes to the site.
First of all, I want to talk about Skribit, a “blog topic suggestion application”. If you look to your right, in the blog’s sidebar, you’ll see a little widget there with the words “Any post ideas?” on top of it. That’s the Skribit widget.
Now, this widget isn’t for me. It’s for you, my reader. If you want me to write about a certain topic, just post it to that widget. If you see a suggestion in the sidebar that you think I should blog about, hit the vote button to vote for that suggestion. This widget allows me to write about the stuff readers want to see on the blog. Also, it’s free, so if you’re a blogger yourself and want to grab hold of this useful application, head on down to Skribit’s homepage, sign up, and embed the code onto your sidebar!
Secondly, I recently signed up for AdBrite, another advertising program. Sometimes, AdBrite will show these full-page ads that say something like, “Hi, I’m Dean! is brought to you by [enter company name here]“. Of course, you can simply click “Skip This Ad”. These things don’t pop up all the time, and if it annoys you, tell me.
